The porosimeters were designed and manufactured in Switzerland in accordance with very high demand from paragliding manufacturers, mainly for safety reasons. This device quickly became a benchmark for measuring porosity.
Principle of operation: Passing a certain volume of air through the fabric to measure its porosity. The porosimeter measures the time it takes for 0.25 liters of air to pass through 38.5 cm2 of fabric under a pressure of 10 mbar.
